Expected departure from Catania or Messina meeting with the tour leader and departure for the visit of Catania. Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Enna . Visit of the Villa of the Casale di Piazza Armerina , with its splendid mosaics recently restored and returned to the tourist circuit in their entirety.
Lunch at a restaurant and transfer to direction of Morgantina . Visit of the enchanting archaeological site: a city along which streets it is possible to walk and still perceive the signs of a past civilization, from the domus, to the furnaces, to the thermal baths and religious altars, and again the macellum and the theater.
It will be possible to both appreciate it from above and walk along the ancient streets. Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Syracuse. Visit of the Park Archaeological of Neapolis which houses most of the classical monuments of Greek and Roman Syracuse: the Roman Amphitheater; Greek Theater, one of the largest of the whole Greek world; the Latomie, the most interesting of which is the Latomia del Paradiso, with its Ear of Dionysus .
Visit to a papyrus plantation: unique throughout southern Europe, where you can rediscover aquatic plants and animals, free to walk in an immense meadow. Relax and the opportunity to witness the processing of papyrus paper according to ancient traditions.
Lunch at restaurant. Continue on foot to visit the suggestive island of Ortigia , the spectacular Duomo and the magnificent Fonte Aretusa to discover closely how the same can grow in this small corner of the world type of papyrus that grows on the banks of the Nile.
