Visit of the Norman Castle, built on the ruins of an old Saracen tower, by the will of the Great Count Roger the Norman between 1070 and 1074. The massive tower preserves the battlements almost intact and is one of the highest examples of fortifications in Sicily.
Continue in the direction of Paternò to visit the Norman Castle, a former tower which is part of a single fortress complex built by Count Roger himself to guarantee the protection of the Simeto valley.
