From Punta Castelluccio to the Capo Murro di Porco lighthouse and continuing along via degli Zaffiri, Plemmirio, you can cross a natural path of about 8 km along the path of the Magdalene

It is precisely passing the last blocks of Via degli Zaffiri, located in the Plemmirio district, that I start the path of the Maddalena. This itinerary, to be covered on foot, with good footwear from trekking, winds for about 8 km and crosses a virgin, uncontaminated area, completely devoid of urban settlements.

Large expanses of dwarf palm dominate much of the coastal strip beyond Punta del Gigante , and it is only in the final stretch, near Punta della Mola , that you reach the Fessura del Plemmirio : a long natural furrow that slopes down to almost sea level, breaking the monotony of the high cliffs. Continuing along the dirt path you finally reach the Capo Murro lighthouse in Porco . This lighthouse, active since 1959, rests on a white polygonal tower and measures approximately 20m height. In clear sky conditions the light source produced by the lighthouse can be seen far beyond 30 km away.
